Easy hamburger casserole

(Apologies for this pic. There was suppose to be a before and after..forgot the after. oops)

We love casseroles! I have come to find out you either do or you don't. I cant seem to understand why you wouldn't. But i guess the mixing of food and blah blah whatever the excuses may be from others... we love them! And you cant get much easier than this one. 5 ingredients. Yep, that's it!

1 1/3 c. uncooked macaroni noodles
1 lb. ground hamburger
1 can. tomato soup
1 can cr. of mushroom soup
shredded cheddar cheese

Cook macaroni noodles and drain. Brown hamburger. To hamburger add soups. Mix together then add the noodles. Put in 9x 13 pan and put cheese all over the top. Cover and bake @ '350 for 20 minutes. Take cover off and cook an additional 10 minutes.

Baked potatoe & Ham soup

So this soup right here wins a #1 spot in one of the best soups EVER! Simple yet full of flavor and so super easy!
I love how you can use leftover ham in this and also when you are making baked potatoes throw in a few extra. Refrigerate then use within the next couple of days. I also love to pressure cook potatoes in this recipe when short on time. I love me my pressure cooker :)
You will also see i love making things with a simple roux (butter, flour, milk mixture) Why? hmmm yet for the answer to that...o wait it makes things yummy. There ya go.

3-4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 c. ham chopped (i use ham steaks, you can use leftover ham if you'd like)
3 c. chicken broth ( i use 3 c. water and 4 chicken bullion cubes, seasoned ones are yumbo!)
1/4 c. butter
1/3 flour
2 1/2 c. milk
S&P to taste

In your soup pot add potatoes and your broth. Cook potatoes and broth on a medium heat intil potatoes are tender. In a smaller saucepan make your roux. Melt butter then add flour. Whisk out clumps and make into paste like consistency. Slowly add in your milk. Whisk until it thickens.
Add your thickened roux to your broth mixture. S&P up! Or just P up. Its salty enough for me with the ham. When stirred well add in your potatoes and ham. Garnish with cheese if you would like. We just snarf it right up as is..with a hearty roll of course :)

Family Fav right here! This BBQ sauce is so yummy and can be put on anything you like BBQ sauce on. We do meatballs as you will see we love our red meat..don't know if that's a good thing its just how it is. This recipe i got from allrecipes.com LOVE this website and every ones great recipes on there :)

Meatballs
1 1/2 lbs ground hamburger
1 egg
1 c. quick oats
6 1/2 oz. evaporated milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbls. chili powder
1/2 chopped onion

BBQ sauce
1 c. ketchup
1/4 tsp. minced garlic
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbls. liquid smoke

For meatballs mix all ingredients together (i use my hands...clean of course) and make into 1-1 /2 inch balls. Put into a 9x13 pan. Mix sauce ingredients together and pour evenly over meatballs. Very hard I know might take you a total of 10 minutes to prepare. Then bake in your oven for 50-min to an hour at '350
I love how in this recipe you can do a bit of this and a bit and measuring is not crucial! You really cannot ruin this recipe. Its just a very easy dish!

Creamy garlic sauce with Pasta

Really this is alfredo sauce with garlic in it. But when Hadlie was at my moms house not to long ago she told me granny had made the BEST dinner EVER! No one besides me here likes alfredo...however everyone loves this. Thanks to Mom for this recipe :)

1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. garlic
S&P to taste

In a saucepan melt butter then slowly add in flour. whisk into a paste like form. Slowly add milk & minced garlic then whisk away on a medium heat until the sauce thickens. You don't have to do this last part i just like to. I strain the garlic and any little clumps of flour that may be in there. Not a must.

Here's the plan

So my intentions here are to post my families' favorite recipes so this can be a cookbook we will know is a safe bet for the foods we love!
My blog title was inspired by my kids. Every time they would say "mom we love this whats in it?" i would reply..."LOVE. It's made with LOVE" So now when they question the secret ingredient they will say"let me guess it's LOVE you made this with love. And yes they are dag on right i did!
This is no 365 day challenge of recipes or any goal to post daily, just a way to keep track of what we love best! Enjoy!
